The big news, that I don’t think I have mentioned on the blog even once, is that I have gone and bought a flat! Hurrah. Last Friday I left work early and got on the train down to Royston (Herts) to put my name to the final documents. The 15.51 train was jammed full of commuters going home (seemed rather early to me), this may have had something to do with my getting off a stop early - in Ashwell! I went into the local pub, the ‘Slaughtered Lamb’, or it may have well have been, where I failed to get a taxi which would take me to Royston for my 17.00 deadline. So had to get the next train - and arrived about 15 minutes late. Anyway, the solicitors stayed open for me and the deed was done… I get the keys on Friday. Inchallah.
