If you’ve got nothing to say

It feels like I’ve been a bit quiet on the blog of late, since the end of my marathon project probably. But if you don’t have anything to say – don’t say it.

Even my Wikipedia entries have been minimal. My new, low-effort wiki-task is to add references to articles that need it. The most recent of these was the Somerset Maugham book, The Razor’s Edge which made all sort of unsubstantiated comments and had little [Citation needed] brackets near to them. A few internet searches dug up some sources, which I duly added. It seems a good way of helping the project without too much effort.

Keeping quiet is a quality that the contributors to the BBC ‘Have Your Say’ website could do with learning. It seems the site is liberally peppered with bizarre rantings of hyped-up reactionary send-‘em-all-home types. A blog called spEak You’re bRanes is dedicated to documenting these crazy opinions, and they’ve even developed a twat-o-tron that automatically generates fascist drivel.
