Out and about

Yesterday I was cycling through Clerkenwell Green in the dark, I spied a group of people standing immobile on the edge of the pavement in front of the Old Sessions House. Slightly obscured by cars, they seemed to be staring at something on the ground. Coming round to the right hand side of the building there were no cars, and I could see to my left about 10 men in suits. At their feet lay a body, a burgundy blanket reached the man’s upper chest. The sepulchral image was made even eerier by its stillness and silence. A few minutes later an ambulance and support vehicle raced past the window of my hostelry around the corner.

On the matter of bicycles, a friend of mine has drawn my attention to this free service - immobilise.com - which allows you to register you bike on the UK Police forces Stolen Equipment National Database - and gives you a bigger chance of having any goods that have been half inched returned to you. Rather good I think.
